School Hours:

Kindergarten – 2nd Grade: 8:00 a.m. – 2:35 p.m.

3rd – 5th Grade: 8:00 a.m. – 2:45 p.m.

Early Morning Extended Day:

6:45 a.m. – 7:45 a.m.

• Students must be dropped off at the cafeteria doors during this time.

Arrival:

7:30 a.m. – 8:00 a.m.

• Doors will open at 7:30 a.m. Students will report to their homeroom classes between 7:40 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. Breakfast will be available from 7:30 a.m. – 7:50 a.m. and all students must report to their homeroom class no later than 8:00 a.m.
• All students will enter the building through the cafeteria.
• Students who arrive earlier than 7:30 a.m. will not be under the supervision of an adult from RCSA or allowed to enter the building if they are not checked in to Early Morning Extended Day.
• Students arriving after 8:00 a.m. will be tardy and must be signed in at the front office.

2:35 p.m. (K-2) 2:45 p.m. (3-5)

• The front office will be closed during dismissal. Please hold any needs until dismissal ends at 3:00 p.m.
• Please follow these directions below for pick up:
  • -All parents must enter campus through the side entrance from Pinnacle Point Drive

    -KG-2nd grade dismiss at 2:35pm. Gates open to begin lining up at 2:00pm.

    -3rd-6th grade and sibling groups dismiss at 2:45pm. Cars do not enter campus until 2:30pm.

    -Display colored car tag(s) and stay in the lane you start in

    -Club dismissal is from 3:40-4:05pm. Parents arriving early will be directed to loop around. Students picked up late will be checked into Extended Day

    -Students who are not picked up at the conclusion of the applicable dismissal (regular or club) will be checked into Extended Day and charged a daily fee.

    -Parking in the subdivision near campus and/or blocking the school’s entrance gate may result in a ticket or tow.

WALKERS:

-Students will be escorted to the sidewalk on the corner of Pinnacle Point Dr off of the school campus.

-You must have a signed form completed in the Front Office in order for your child to walk off of our campus. (This form was in your enrollment packet) Please check with the Front Office if you have any concerns.

Extended Day: 3:00 p.m. – 5:45 p.m.

-Extended day dismissal starts at 3:15pm. Cars do not enter campus until 3:00pm.

-Announce arrival on PikMyKid app.

-Display orange car tag and wait in the loading zone outside of the gym (facing Philips Hwy)

Clubs and Tutoring: 3:00 p.m. – 3:45 p.m.

-Students attending clubs or tutoring will be expected to be in their club by 3:00 p.m.

-After clubs/tutoring, students will be escorted to carpool dismissal

-Club dismissal will take place in the same location as regular dismissal from 3:45pm-4:00pm

-Do not pull into the Loading Zone before 3:40pm

-Club dismissal is from 3:40-4:05pm. Parents arriving early will be directed to loop around. Students picked up late will be checked into Extended Day

Building closed for the night: 6:00 p.m.

• By law, we are required to call the authorities for any child that is not picked up by the closing time.
• If you are running late due to traffic, please call the school to notify the front office staff.

Please NOTE:

• Early Checkouts & Tardies:
  • In order for a student to be checked out early:
    1. An ID must be shown.
    2. The adult picking the child up must have been previously approved by the parent/guardian.
  • Students are not able to be checked out after 2:00 p.m.
  • If a student exceeds the number of excused/unexcused tardies or absences without official documentation, DCPS will step in to handle the truancy.

• Students who arrive earlier than 7:30 a.m. will not be under the supervision of an adult from RCSA or allowed in the building if they are not checked in to Early Morning Extended Day. Doors will open at 7:30 a.m.
• Middle School students will enter the building using the doors facing Old St Augustine Rd. Students who arrive between 7:30 to 7:40 will wait in the PE and STEM room until the 7:40 bell. At 7:40, students will go to their lockers and report to their first-period class. All students must report to their first-period class no later than 8:00 a.m. 

• Students arriving after 8:00 a.m. be tardy and must be signed in by their parent/guardian at the front office.

2:45 p.m. 

• The front office will be closed during dismissal. Please hold any needs until dismissal ends at 3:00 p.m. 
• Carpool pickup for middle school will be in the Staff Parking Lot, *unless the middle school student has a sibling in kindergarten through 2nd grade* 
• Please follow the directions below for pick up: 

• Middle school students will be picked up in the staff parking lot 

• If the middle school student has a sibling in 3rd through 5th grade, the 3rd through 5th-grade sibling will also be picked up in the staff parking lot. *Unless the middle school student is NOT on campus or leaving campus at the time of dismissal* 
• If the middle school student has a sibling(s) in kindergarten through 2nd grade, they will be picked up in Lane 2. 

• Students attending clubs or tutoring will be expected to be in their club by 3:00 p.m. 
• Any student that is not picked up will be escorted to the front office to call home. Parents will be required to sign the student out front of the front office at this time. If this becomes a regular occurrence, parents will be responsible for paying the $15 daily extended day rate. 
• WALKERS: 

• tudents will be escorted to the sidewalk on the corner of Pinnacle Point Dr off of the school campus at 2:50 pm. 

• Please be mindful that students are released from class at 2:55 p.m., meaning they may not arrive to the walkers pick up right at 2:55 p.m. 
• If you are meeting your student, there will be no need to come inside the fence, please wait by the sidewalk on Old St. Augustine Road. 

• You must have a signed form completed in the front office in order for your child to walk off of our campus (this form was in your enrollment packet). Please check with the front office if you have any concerns. 

Extended Day:

3:00 p.m. – 5:45 p.m. 

• Extended Day teachers will collect extended day students from their classrooms around 3:00 p.m. and checked into Extended Day.
